The img tag allow you to embed external non-progressive jpeg files and other swf files inside a dynamic or an input text field. There is an attribute called id which is supported by this tag so that you can embed an instance of your movie clip from your library and thus control it using Actionscript.

Cool!
i didn’t manage do do this twice in one textfield, is there a trick or isn’t that possible?
Abdul, I thought it would be better to do one and have it here just in case I forgot the thing. Blogs are indeed good for information reservoir, now-a-days I do a lotta search on my own site.
No Claus, there is no trick involved. I have just included one more ID-ed instance for you. Please check out the updated version.
ah i know what my problem was (or the problem of the flash textfield). try adding the second img tag next or near to the first one (so that the movieclips float into the same textline). the movieclips will be placed at the same positions and overlap.
i never realised that we could attach a image with a linkage onto a text field.. with a img src tag.. and the id property tag we can almost do a whole lot of new things.
verryyy informative stuff for me. i can try more stunts now… great lead… thanx mahn..
