Be careful using this. If you hyperlink to a page that does not have this line, the link will fail. I currently tried this technique on a CD-ROM based HTML document and I have a couple links that target powerpoint (ppt) files, and the links failed to work so I took out the line on the HTML pages.

Doesn't that simple line of code present a huge security hole in the new SP2? fair enough windows isn't any worse than it was before, but that is such an easy workaround trick it makes you wonder how easy other apparent 'fixes' are to workaround.

Hi B, was that HTML/SWF stored on your local hard drive, rather than on the server? If so, then SP2's IE will indeed throw up a warning each time. You can show local ActiveX Content without the dialog by putting a special comment in the HTML.

This "Mark of the Web" info is in the Microsoft site, but the Microsoft front page has a lot of pages. There's a synopsis and direct link in my blog earlier this week:
http://www.markme.com/jd/archives/005836.cfm

Is this what you were dealing with there...?
