Today, Ted announced that IFBIN is open source, open to contribution, free to download and free for commercial and non-commercial use.
- All code is free to download and use for any purpose
- All code is licensed under a BSD License
- IFBIN will add support for example publishing within IFBIN 2.0
- IFBIN 2.0 will be a free service
IFBIN 2.0 will be released as an Adobe Apollo desktop application for secure publishing and installation of software examples. Adopting Apollo will provide seamless access to file installation services and cross platform support. The client application will allow anyone to publish and download software examples easily.

Why is there still a purchase in the service ?
The subscription is sold per developer for $250 US for 1 Developer or $2,000 US for 10 Developers.
Isn’t all the apps free and open source to use ?
