I think the Cooliris app is kick @ss! I wrote about the desktop version on my blog. I dont have an iPhone but the G1 and my colleague showed me the Cooliris on his iPhone. I like that they tapped into the GPS to deliver local news based on your location. Hope they can develop a version for the Android OS!

When I said Cooliris has been removed from the iPhone, I meant to say it has been removed from iTunes. As of this evening, though, it has been put back. I saw this message from Cooliris on another website and figured other people who are having this problem, might want to see it and, I think, this would be one of the first places they'd come.

<blockquote>Hi there,

We're happy to let you know we've just released a new version of Cooliris for iPhone that resolves the uninstall issue on Apple's firmware v.2. The new version is available at the iTunes Store and via http://www.cooliris.com/iphone

If you've been following the goings on of Cooliris for iPhone for the last few days, you know about the issue with Apple's firmware v.2.1, which affected a small number of applications during the uninstall process. Fortunately, our engineers were able to figure out a workaround quickly and we were able to submit a new version to Apple. And, Apple was kind enough to expedite the approval process.

Due to a bug in Apple's firmware v2.1, we do recommend you do NOT delete the old Cooliris icon in the "Applications" section of the "Library" at this time, though you can safely delete the old version of Cooliris on your iPhone. You will get a warning message every time you try to sync, unless you keep the old icon in your library.

If you have deleted this icon already, unfortunately, there will be no way to get rid of the sync error message unless you restore your iPhone, until Apple comes out with a fix. A few of my teammates here at Cooliris are also in the same boat as you all and are feeling a bit bummed. If you would like to be alerted when Apple has fixed this issue in its firmware, please email us at feedback@cooliris.com.

Thanks, again. We apologize for any inconveniences, and hope you fully enjoy our newest version of Cooliris for iPhone. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions!

Warmest regards,
Jenny & The Cooliris Team

Cooliris has been removed from the Iphone. No-one seems to know why. No-one at the website has responded to my support questions and while I've tried to remove the program from the phone, piece of it remain in memory. When I sync I get a message saying it cannot be removed from the Iphone because of an unknown error. Can someone help me with this?
