I'm new to Linux and Ubuntu as of the 1st of July 2010, and I must admit after a good 8 years using Windows exclusively, it was pretty difficult trying to get a grasp on the new OS. However I am learning quickly that Ubuntu is Just as user friendly as Windows (maybe not Mac) but with more ways to customize and better ways to organize files. Not to mention the fact that all these applications i was spending major money on are available on the Linux distributions for free. And I believe the Linux Community is a much better source for support than calling or searching the massive forums on Windows. Just my opinion though =]

I am using Linux version kubuntu 7.04.
I have started using Linux since I joined B2B Portal.
As I experienced its not as easy as windows may be because of this generally users are not preferred this OS.
I also experienced my files are corrupted many times in the starting but its easy to recover those files.

Nice insight. Linux is ruling already in server market but common users are not ready to accept it. I am sure if linux developer community organize some sessions to sort out problem been faced by common user they can come with more robust idea(s) than Microsoft & Apple. The reason is Linux people have more diverse knowledge in terms of different languages, cultures, regions and so on. Any how the amount of work they are doing for free is really fantastic.
