I’m sure many are interested in an easy way to manage their Cloud Files .. especially, when you’d like to have more than one user but don't want to give them access to your whole admin panel!! Jungle Disk ROCKS for backups, Cyberduck is ok for simple FTP, etc.. but when you need a way to create sub accounts, assign containers, etc..

*****
Cloud9 is a new web-based service that allows users, or Web Designers/Programmers to manage their Cloud Files more easily. It’s accessible, secure and fast. Basically, it improves upon the Mosso Cloud Files manager in these ways:

1) Multiple file uploads!! Up to 20 at a time! No more waiting, file after file, or trying to teach your clients how to use Cyberduck/FireUploader, et al.

2) You can create unlimited ‘user’ accounts and give them access only to containers you assign to them. Unlimited Users, Unlimited Containers.

3) You, as the admin, stay in complete control over the users, containers, objects (files), etc. You have global read/write/delete access.

4) Each user can manage their own objects (files), upload/delete, etc. as well as add containers to their user account without intervention from the admin

5) It’s super easy for you and your clients to use.

6) Each file name listed in a container is pre-linked to the file, so using the URL for that file is as easy as, Right Click, Copy Link!

So, be sure to check it out.. it’s pre-launch time and everything is getting the file check off for the launch date… Cloud9 is giving away a limited number of FREE accounts during the beta phase. After which, the service will start a little above that Venti Mocha Frap you had last week, and have plans for different usage limits :)

I'm starting to read more and more about this cloud computing stuff and it's very interesting! I ran into this other host who claims to be doing this. I think it's similar to mosso, but cheaper. The call themselves Uptimehost

I'm trying to get an invite account. Anyone else have luck?

I came across mosso when i was reading some articles about cloud hosting. Their offering of 10.000.000 request/hits (or whatever that means) is now standard for every one. I pretty musch like the way that you can host your websites based on (Linux/Windows) env. at the same time. But for me $100 is too much at the moment. If i have more websites (in the future) that has some income than i definitely will go for them

@Rumba
I'm sorry but I've no clue about the limit or anything that is related to MS SQL Server.

Their support is helpful. Do a direct chat with one of their support and find out what might happen if you need increased space, bandwidth etc.

If you ask you might even get increased space and bandwidth at no additional cost. :-)

We are seriously considering mosso for our windows application but do you think it's viable to go for them if our DB size (SQL server 2005) is growing at fast speed? I see on the site they charge $5 per 100 MB per month.

@Bhavesh
I think they're more or less the same. So, even hits/request to your images, css, javascript and every other files are accounted for.
