First, this book ain’t for total beginners into the world of Object Oriented Programming, second it is not for the utterly good OO Programmers (though they can enjoy the book to re-shake and freshen up their already good knowledge) but they are for mediocre/intermediate like me. Nonthless, this is another book that would be a [...]
Have you decided to get dirty with application architecturing or lead a team of designers/developers; decided to architect, manage, develop and deliver applications? Besides many other books in this genre, one such I read recently (ok, started long back but finished recently) is Software Architect Bootcamp by Raphael Malveau and Thomas J. Mowbray, Ph.D. Software, [...]
I just finished reading the book “A process of ongoing improvement, The Goal“, a book from Eliyahu M. Goldratt and Jeff Cox. I bought the book while I was on my usual book buying trip and I don’t regret picking it up. Ok, before you go ahead, I would like to suggest that if you [...]
So there are coupla Flash Developers and Internet Application Developers who shares similar taste of books with me. One challenge thrown to me was by one of my good friend, to break the code at the end of "Digital Fortress".
The instant message on her computer from Franz had been terrifying. <em>Run, Sonja! Go to the Artemisia Hotel. You will be safe there. Wait until you hear from</em>... The message had ended suddenly. Why had Franz not finished it? What could be happening? The night before, she had heard her husband saying to someone on the telephone that Prima must be stopped at all costs. Who was Prima? Frau Verbrugge was nearing Brandenburgische Strasse, where the Artemisia was located, the hotel that catered to women only. <em>I will wait for Franz there and he will explain to me what this is all about</em>."
Well, I am not that in a position to give any remarks about the books, many have done many reviews, feedbacks and everything else. I just like the <a href="http://www.danbrown.com/novels/davinci_code/reviews.html" title="The Da Vinci Code">Da Vinci Code</a> Book, finished reading it in two days. Well after reading the main book, I ended up loving the works of Dan Brown that I went and bought myself, "<a href="http://www.danbrown.com/novels/digital_fortress/reviews.html" title="Digital Fortress">Digital Fortress</a>", and finished reading it in a day's time.
This message is about the First Part of the Book, “The Actinscript 2.0 Language”, Part II of the book, “Application Development” and Part III, “Design Pattern Examples in ActionScript 2.0” have been covered earlier. This book is another must have for any Flash-Actionscript Application Developer. Visit the official book site and order (pre-order) the same [...]
There are many good books that caters to the need of good Application Development using Object Oriented Programming methodology. Mook’s Essential ActionScript 2.0′ Part 2 “Application Development” preaches the same but to the point in an easier way for the Flash Developers to understand faster. I particularly like the clear cut explanation to separate the [...]
So, this summer, get ready to tickle your Actionscript skill and hone your application development skill and catapult to another advanced level. Thanks to <a href="http://moock.org/blog/" title="Colin Moock">Colin Moock</a> for the book and his contributions to the Flash Community.
Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Magic is a sequel to the Book; Macromedia Flash MX 2004 series, if I am not mistaken it started since Version 4 of Macromedia Flash. If you are already an advanced Actionscript coder and a pro in using Flash, this book is definitely not much of a help. But this book [...]
