I signed up for a Yahoo! and a Hotmail account in 1999. I have the Hotmail account under my control but I forgot my password for Yahoo!

I have

tried all permutations and combinations to retrieve the password with their “Forgot Password” without success
tried calling them up without success
tried mailing them many times without success

Well, the thing is that I usually get all accounts/IDs on the internet with my name as my name is a not-so-common name. I would really like to yet my own Yahoo! account with my name. And yes, that account is mine and is now dormant due to inactivity.

I would like to request anybody to try and get me that by any means – hack, crack or anything.

After Adobe’s acquisition, Macromedia is definitely Richer

As far as I can recollect, Macromedia’s MAX was usually just coupla days. The upcoming first MAX after acquisition is being celebrated for about a week, October 22 – 26 (add a day before for the usual bird of a feather kinda gathering and another day after for the farewell). And it is Las Vegas!

Gmodeler from Grant Skinner is a fantastic tool for UML for ActionScript Classes/Packages. I am pretty sure anybody using it would be really happy with the same.

Lately, I was on the lookout for a general purpose diagramming program – neither too simple nor too complex. I even tried out coupla Commercial Trials, Shareware, Freewares and I found Dia to be the one that I really liked. Dia is a gtk+ based diagram creation program released under the GPL license.

Babysitter Tortures Baby

A family in Abbasiya employed a maid at their house to look after their kid. After few days, the kid remained gloomy, tired and afraid. With suspicion in their mind, the family put a hidden cam in their Living Room when they left for work. When they returned and saw the recorded video, they were shocked to see how badly the maid treats the child.

This is pure Off-Topic but I am posting it here for the disrespect, scorn and hatred I have for anybody mis-treating a child. I am putting up the extracted video here for you to see and make your judgements.

The front page of Digg have an article today about Using Sprites with CSS pointing to an article on Informit, What are CSS Sprites?

Have a look at the original article [by Dave Shea] published on A List Apart, CSS Sprites: Image Slicing’s Kiss of Death.

Well, the problem is that this technique suffer from the IE/Win Flicker which happens when background images are hovered. A better rollover technique is explained at SimpleBits – Flicker-Free PGA.com.

Turning on Caret Browsing in Firefox

This is cool! Hitting F7 in Firefox will allow you to turn on/off caret browsing. This feature places a moveable cursor in web pages, allowing you to select text with the keyboard. This is better suited for Laptops/Notebooks.
