Operation Endgame is a coordinated action by the United States and European agencies against some of the most popular cybercrime platforms for delivering ransomware and data-stealing malware.
Recently, one of the largest operations against botnets hit the dropper malware ecosystem. Botnets play a major role in the deployment of ransomware. The operation, initiated and led by France, Germany, and the Netherlands, was also supported by Eurojust and involved Denmark, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Like most normal people, we read about such programs after they are correctly declassified and released to the public. It looks like, these days, they are out the door from day-0 advertising — poking fun and intimidating the adversary right on.
